All new Mercedes-Benz vehicles are covered by a two-year warranty.
The warranty starts on the day the vehicle is handed over or, if earlier, on the date of first registration, and has no mileage limit. The contractual warranty obligations are provided by the national sales organisation that sells you the vehicle. It is recognised in all member states of the European Union, as well as in Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
Preserving the manufacturer's warranty
The manufacturer Mercedes-Benz Group AG strives to support customers in difficult circumstances and maintains the warranty despite the current restrictions on servicing.
For passenger cars and vans, the following tolerances for overdue maintenance by mileage or time apply (the manufacturer's warranty is preserved): up to 180 days / 6,000 km of permitted excess mileage.
Specialists at official service centres — the most highly qualified professionals
A multi-level training system, regular training on new vehicles at the Training Centre of the official Mercedes-Benz Group AG distributor and hands-on practice with training vehicles and components — all of this ensures a high level of qualification.
Only the specialists at official service stations have the full scope of regularly updated information on repairing and servicing Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Combined with accumulated experience, this allows them to find effective solutions to problems of any complexity.
Warranty conditions
Scheduled maintenance carried out at the specified intervals, within the permitted mileage tolerance, as well as routine servicing.
Compliance with the manufacturer's warranty regulations, the operating rules of the vehicle and the recommendations of the specialists at official Mercedes-Benz dealers.
Warranty on parts and accessories
Parts and accessories (excluding consumables) sold and fitted by the service centre of an official Mercedes-Benz dealer are covered by a 24-month warranty.
The warranty does not apply
If the customer does not follow the operating instructions.
If the vehicle is not used for its intended purpose.
If the permissible gross vehicle weight, axle loads, payload or the average load capacity of the chassis has been exceeded.
To defects resulting from careless or unprofessional handling, storage or transport of the vehicle.
